General Service

To keep your pool table performing at its best, Hobson’s Billiards recommends annual general service. This service includes:

• Checking and adjusting the table level at the base of each leg
• Tightening leg, frame, rail, and accessible pocket bolts
• Brushing the table and applying new table spots
• Inspecting all billiard accessories

Moving Services

Whether you’re moving across town, across the state, or simply rearranging during renovations or flooring installation, Hobson’s Billiards specializes in professional pool table moving. We carefully wrap your table in protective moving quilts and transport it in our enclosed van. We are fully insured and bonded, so your table remains protected every step of the way.

Need temporary storage? We also offer short-term storage if your new space is not ready yet.

Disassembly and Slate Crating

If your moving company requires your pool table to be disassembled and the slates crated individually, we can handle the process for you. Our team will:

• Fully disassemble your table
• Securely crate each slate in a custom-built wooden crate

Most movers require this, so be sure to confirm with yours in advance.

Installation

Have a new or relocated pool table that needs to be set up? With decades of experience, we will carefully assemble your table, precisely level it, and have it game-ready within just a few hours.

Cloth Replacement

Hobson’s Billiards has been professionally recovering tables for over 50 years. Fresh cloth not only improves the appearance of your table but also enhances its playability.

Our recovery service includes:

• Re-covering all rails
• Installing new bedclothes
• Tightening all frame bolts
• Leveling the table (legs first, then each slate)

Rubber Replacement

Worn cushions can lose their bounce and responsiveness. If your rails feel hard, dead, or spongy, replacing the rubber can dramatically improve performance.

We complete rubber replacement at our shop to ensure proper and precise installation. Our process includes:

• Picking up your rails
• Installing new rubber
• Recovering the rails
• Returning to reinstall and level your table
