General Service 

Hobson’s Billiards recommends general service for your pool table each year. This includes checking and adjusting the level of the table at the base of the legs, tightening leg and frame bolts, rail bolts and pocket bolts if accessible, brushing the table and applying new table spots. We will also check the condition of all billiard accessories. Any findings will be brought to the customer’s attention. Call us today to schedule your pool table tune-up!

Moving                                                                                                                                   

Whether you are moving across town, across the state or simply need a table moved for renovations or new flooring, Hobson’s Billiards specializes in moving pool tables. Your table is protected during transit wrapped in moving quilts and transported in our enclosed van. We are fully insured and bonded. Your table couldn’t be in better hands while moving! We also offer short-term storage of tables if you are moving, but your new location is not immediately ready for your table.

Disassemble/Crate Slates                                                                                                       

If you are moving and need your pool table disassembled for the movers, we can take care of that, too! We will completely disassemble your table and securely crate each slate in a custom-made, wood crate. Most movers require the pool table slates to be individually crated for secure transit.  Check with your moving company to be sure!

Installation                                                                                                                             

Did you purchase a new pool table or need a pool table installed? Our experience will have your table properly set up and perfectly level within hours, ensuring a great game!

Cloth Replacement                                                                                                                 

At Hobson’s Billiards, we have been expertly recovering tables for a half-century. With new cloth, your table will look great and play even better. We come out to you to recover the rails and fit a new table bed cloth securely on your table. While your table is being recovered, we make sure all frame bolts are tight and level the table starting with the legs and then ensure that each slate is level, as well. You can also choose to upgrade your cloth with a variety of colors and styles from Championship and Simonis. 

Rubber Replacement                                                                                                               

Old rail cushions can be replaced to reenergize your game. Old rubber can appear spongy or hard and give little or no action while you are playing. With new, active cushions, your table will provide a better game! Rubber replacement is done at our shop to ensure proper setting. We pick up your rails, set the rubber and recover them, and then return them to you. Upon our return, we level and recover your table and secure the rails back in place. Ask about upgrading your rubber to Brunswick SuperSpeed Rail Cushions for the best game possible.

Table Leveling                                                                                                                       

If you want to ensure consistent ball roll or if you are having problems with a noticeable difference in the seam between your slates as you play, we can professionally re-level your table. The table is disassembled so that the table is leveled starting with the legs. Then, each slate is individually leveled. The cloth is put back in place and you are ready for a better game!
